Chaya Rayman (nee Kanarfogel) is an experienced Jewish educator who has taught both formally and informally, spanning from toddlers to adults. She has worked in shuls, schools, and camps not only in a capacity as a teacher but also in coordinating events as well as training and overseeing teenage staff.

Chaya’s greatest passion lies in learning and teaching Gemara, and more specifically empowering young women to find their motivation within the world of Limmud Torah. Before beginning her teaching career, she earned a masters degree from Yeshiva University’s GPATS (Graduate Program for Advanced Talmudic Studies). She spent 7 years at SAR High School, where she was on the Gemara/Halakha Faculty and the Head of Girls Israel Guidance. Chaya also continues to work at Camp Moshava IO in the summer.

Chaya is thrilled to be joining the faculty at Midreshet Harova as a teacher of Gemara and Halacha, where she will continue to foster a sense of pride and independence in her students’ learning. She will also be serving as a Mashgicha Ruchanit, which will afford her the opportunity to connect with more students as they navigate this most meaningful shana ba’aretz.

Originally from Teaneck and then Riverdale, Chaya recently made Aliyah to Modiin with her husband and 3 children.
