Aviah was born and raised in Lincolnwood, Illinois. As the onsite Eym Bayit she lives in the Old City of Yerushalayim with her husband and three children. Aviah studied Elementary education as well as Tanach. In addition to working at Midreshet HaRova and fulfilling her roles regarding students’ medical, dietary and residential needs, Aviah also finds some time to learn and have philosophical discussions with students. Her favorite topics to learn and therefore use in teaching are Shmirat HaLashon, the Sefer Meom Loez on Sefer Shemot, and using the yearly calendar as a barometer for Tisha B’Av
