My name is Natanya Fisher, and I am from Perth, Australia. I grew up in Johannesburg South Africa and moved to Australia at the age of 8. I went to Carmel School and was a Bnei Akiva Chanicha throughout my childhood. I went on Bnei MTA as my gap year program and chose to attend Midreshet HaRova in 2017. HaRova enabled my spiritual growth and provided me with the opportunity to develop my Torah, personal and life skills and shaped who I am today. My experience at HaRova allowed me to explore Jewish texts in a way I have never before and allowed me to truly discover Israel during our tiyulim and shabbatonim. I made friends from all over the world and was able to create life-long memories. I learnt to connect with my entire being and to be present in the moment. I still reflect on moments of my shnat year and feel the same incredible intense feelings I did 5 years ago.
After HaRova, I returned to Perth in 2018 and delivered shiurim to the women in my community, sharing and developing the ideas I had learnt at HaRova. I also became a Madricha in Bnei Akiva and was elected as Merakezet in 2019. I was also the WA State Representative for the Australian Zionist Youth Council in 2019. I dedicated my time to giving back to my community and sharing as much of what I had learnt as possible!  I studied Speech Pathology and am now practicing as a Rehab Community Speech Pathologist for Adults and Children.
I am continuously learning and growing and sharing my Torah knowledge. I learnt that we are always learning and to accept every opportunity as a chance to learn and grow.  I hope to return to Israel soon to visit my incredible Rabbanim and Teachers! Ahavat Yisrael BaNeshama 💗
